Update: Police take Vybz Kartel on second search

Vybz Kartel is currently being escorted by security forces as they move on to searching a second house believed to be owned by the popular entertainer.

A strong contingent of police personnel and soldiers, armed with machetes and gardening hoes, is now searching a Havendale, St. Andrew house, which is partially burnt.

Several boxes have been removed from the Havendale residence.

Security forces carried out a search earlier on another house, also believed to be owned by Palmer, in the Norbrook, St. Andrew area.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Steve Brown told The Gleaner that their investigations led them to both houses.

The police detained the entertainer, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, during a Flying Squad operation last night.

Vybz Kartel case postponed again

For the second day, popular entertainer Vybz Kartel did not appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court.

One of his attorneys, Tom Tavares-Finson, said court officials informed him that the case was not placed on the list today because they had only received "a skeletal file."

There were no indication when Kartel will make his first court appearance to answer charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and illegal possession of firearm.
He was charged in relation to the death of businessman/promoter, Barrington Burton, otherwise called ‘Bossie’
An article in the Tribune newspaper in the Bahamas entitled 'Bahamians not interested in Vybz Kartel's skincare line' appears to ridicule the Summer Time deejay, and his unusual appearance, his weaves and his skin bleaching.

The deejay will launch a new skincare line of products and fragrances this month, as well as a fragrance based off Kartel's popular catch phrase, and made for both men and women, called (drum roll please)'OH'.  Among the new products to be release on the market are, Vybz Skin Brightener, Vybz Body Brightener, Vybz Anti-Aging Moisturiser, Vybz Astringent, Vybz Soap and OH! by Vybz Kartel in men's cologne and women's perfume.
